The Comedy Thing
I do stand-up. To me, the only thing more satisfying than writing a funny headline is writing a funny joke. I realized I was in love with comedy after I impersonated my aunt who smokes and purses her lips. Everyone laughed. She didn't. I became the family comedian after that.
Sevenish years later, I took a stand-up class. I've performed at major comedy clubs, like Gotham Comedy Club and Carolines on Broadway, and comedy festivals in the U.S.A. and Palestine.
It's my thing. Or, as the ad world likes to call it, my side hustle.

The Advertising Thing
I was a theater major, because I loved--and still love--acting. Then, I was a psychology major because I wanted to understand people. Then, I worked in marketing because I wanted to know how to get people's attention.
One day my boss told me to write a headline. It was fun. It was even more fun when I saw the way my co-workers reacted to it.
So, what do you get when you combine a drama queen and a psych major and an insatiable drive to move people?
A copywriter, apparently.
